What’s a Seminar?

Lessons from the field. Hour-long, didactic-style presentations led by institutional, industry, vendors of ATA. Sessions usually include PowerPoint presentations and a question and answer session.

What is Learning Lab?

New this year! When we say “hands-on” we mean it. This 60-75 minute, interactive and experiential session is designed to engage participants in an activity related to one of the conference tracks. Content delivered in these sessions will be curated by the speaker in collaboration with ATA.

  • Presenters will guide participants through a concrete challenge, working collaboratively to design a meaningful solution and help them leave with relevant deliverables

What are Plenaries?

This is the big show. 75 minutes. ATAs opening plenary will begin with ATA leadership, who will share ATA’s vision for the future along with the successes of members and the organization at-large over the past 25 years. Keynote speakers include Lisa Bielamowicz, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of The Advisory Board Company, Jo Ann Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer of AARP, and Robert Wachter, MD Best-Selling Author of “The Digital Doctor: Hope, Hype and Harm at the Dawn of Medicine’s Computer Age.

What’s a Facilitated Roundtable Discussion?

These informal gatherings occur in the Exhibit Hall, encompassing small group discussions during concurrent session breaks. Think of these as a fireside chat. A presenter will introduce the topic and provide structure for the overall discussion. These are ideal for networking and in-depth discussions on focused topics.

What’s a Workshop?

These intensive, half day-long sessions are offered pre-conference to provide attendees with a jump on their education journey with ATA. Workshops provide a more personal, in-depth exploration of topic in a smaller group environment.

  • Advanced registration and additional fees are required, the fee can be paid during the registration process, fees range from $235 – $635 depending on topic and membership
  • Offered on Saturday Afternoon and Sunday Morning (see schedule for more details)

What’s an Ignite Session?

New this year! Highly structured, short and sweet talks, speakers will have 5-10 minutes to present their topic, and a quick Q&A session. You can find these in the Exhibit Hall.

What’s an ePoster Presentation?

Presenters will share their new, innovative information and findings on original research. There will be multiple ePosters being presented at the same time in the Exhibit Hall. These are informal standing presentations in front of electronic kiosks.

What’s a Speaker Corner Session?

Highlighting the hottest topics of the telemedicine industry, these 60–minute sessions are curated by ATA and presentations will be done mostly in a didactic format. These are the place to be for the most buzzworthy issues of the industry right now.

What’s a Demo Theater Presentation?

Take a deep dive into the products and technologies that interest you most at ATA18’s Demo Theater. Individual exhibitors offer in-depth and hands-on demonstrations of their most innovative products to keep your business on top of emerging telehealth technologies and techniques. You’ll engage with the exhibitor in our Experience Zone, and It’s free. Check the Demo Theater schedule and plan to attend those that will help your business (and you) the most.

What’s an In the Driver Seat Session?

Designed by are platinum members, these sessions are a birds-eye view of the telehealth landscape. Leaders representing a cross spectrum of the industry will share their insights and winning strategies to assist organizations in developing an integrated telehealth approach. Presenters will share best practices, knowledge, and lessons learned on how best to leverage provider and supplier relationships, as organizations work together to re-shape the industry.
